Compliance documents, IR35 and AWR

Templio tracks the paperwork and statutory clocks that keep a placement compliant, alongside the timesheets themselves.

Document vault

Contractors upload documents from their own Documents page; you review and manage them from Dashboard → Compliance → Documents. Templio tracks these document types:

• Right to work
• Professional indemnity insurance
• Employers' liability insurance
• Company registration
• VAT certificate
• Other

Right to work, professional indemnity, employers' liability and VAT certificate documents carry an expiry date — the Compliance page surfaces anything expiring soon or already expired so you can chase a renewal before it lapses.

IR35 status

Each contract carries an IR35 status — Outside or Inside IR35 — set from the contract's compliance page. An inside-IR35 contract expects a Status Determination Statement on file before it can be activated for self-billing.

AWR — the 12-week clock

The Agency Workers Regulations (AWR) give a contractor equal treatment rights once they've worked 12 continuous calendar weeks in the same role. Templio tracks this automatically per contract and surfaces contracts approaching or past that milestone on the Compliance page, so you know when parity terms need reviewing.

HMRC quarterly returns

Where intermediaries reporting applies (contractors operating outside IR35 or via intermediaries with timesheets active in the quarter), Dashboard → Compliance → Intermediaries builds the quarterly return data for the current HMRC reporting period.
