Contractors get a link by email, open it on their phone, and submit hours — no app-store install, no account to create, and nothing to remember a password for. It works from the first assignment: contractors are never Clerk users on Templio, so there's no sign-up step between placing someone and them being able to submit a timesheet.
Generic timesheet tools — and Xero's own native timesheets — are built around an internal manager approving their own payroll. A recruitment agency needs the opposite: the external client the contractor is placed with has to approve the hours before they're billable.
