AWR 12-week qualifying calculator

Under the Agency Workers Regulations 2010, an agency worker gets equal treatment on basic working and employment conditions once they have worked in the same role with the same hirer for 12 continuous calendar weeks. Any week in which they work, even for part of one day, counts as a full week.

Enter the assignment start date and untick the weeks with no work for this hirer. The calculator counts the qualifying weeks with the same logic Templio uses in the product. A gap of six calendar weeks or less pauses the clock; a longer gap is flagged, because it resets the clock unless the reason for it pauses it. Worked example. A worker starts on Monday 5 January 2026, works 5 weeks, has 4 weeks with no work, then works 7 more weeks in the same role. The 4-week gap is six weeks or less, so it does not reset the clock, but its weeks do not count. They reach 12 qualifying weeks in the week commencing 20 April 2026, 16 calendar weeks after starting.
